כונא
כַּוְנָאor כּוּנָא m. (v. כַּוָּוא; cmp. חוֹפֶן a. כַּף) the hollow of the hand, handful (as a measure), spoonful (mostly in medicine; cmp. Lat. coclear). (Editions, except ed. Sonc., have ב׳, Ar. a. Mss. כ׳, v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. c. infra. Sabb.110b כ׳ דכמונאוכ׳ (Ms. M. כי׳) one handful of cumin-seed, and one of Gitt.70a כ׳ דחמראוכ׳ a spoonful of old wine.Pl. כַּוְנֵי or כּוּנֵי. Erub.29b (ed.
